All these are based on mediaviewer 1.0 with plugins phonebook tools, clock, Timer, dictaphone, Text reader, file changer, motomidlets manager, sms backup and keysound (all are smoothly working on my SLVR L7). You can download this mediaviewer from here

1) If you installed the mediaviewer from my link, after reboot, you can see some other messages on your screen like cell id, date etc. Now press right joystick button. You can see a menu slowly coming from the left side. You can explore this menu by using up and down keys and the right and left keys.Now open the media viewer( usually menu+5). Go to key sound plugin (last one). Now you can select the datas to be displayed on your screen. you can also have an animation sound for the menu(check 'events').

2) If you are a student, you can display your timetable right on your mobile screen! Please extract the file Study .txt from the zip file. Edit it according to your time table. Dont put any extra lines!.Copy it to '/b'. Now in the keysound plugin check 'shedule'. Now you have the time table on your screen. If you check 'Nextpair' the subject on the next period will also be displayed.

3) When you leave the key sound plugin always press 'hide' instead of 'back'

Phonebook tools
1) You can backup or restore the phonebook (It will remember your picture IDs also). In this media viewer (from the above link), the backup will be stored in '/b' as 'phonebook.pb'

Clock
1) It is a talking clock (press right soft key)
2) Pressing menu(-) button will fire up the settings
3) Right and left joystick keys will control the volume.
4) Press '0' to escape
5) In the 'alarm settings' you have an option to fireup the player at a predetermined time (check 'open player'). It will play untill the playlist completes!.
6) If you want to work clock (to listen Hour bells) uncheck 'Don't work in background' in the 'main settings'.

Text viewer
1) You can open large txt files!
2) Press '0' to unload the file you are reading.
3) Press '6' to next page and '4' to previos page.

Mediaviewer file manager
1) Press '1' to toggle between icon view and list view.
2) Press '4' to copy and press '7' to cut files. (long press will select all files)
3) Press '9' to delete a file or folder.
4) You can play all files in a selected folder.
5) Press '8' to rename a file or folder
6) Press '0' to copy all files a folder
7) Press # to toggle between current folder and the desktop
8) In the picture view, press up button for fullscreen.
9) In full screen picure view press '4' and '6' to view the full picture.
10) In picture view press right or left soft keys to rotate the picture.
12) Press 'smartkey' to fire 'bookmarks'

SMS anti-thieft alarm (most exciting!) thanks to mavarick for this details

Your phone will send sms to your friend's mobile when your SIM is replaced by a thief!

1. Run notepad in your pc.

2. Copy the text below as it is

imsi0=x
no0=+913219876543 (Country code,operator code,phone number)
no1=+913331234567 (Country code, operator code, phone number)
no2=+923005646479 (Country code, operator code, phone number)
no3=+923034564679 (Country code, operator code, phone number)
text=This phone is stolen, donot reply, note Cell ID, imsi and phone number

3. The above sms alarm is configured to send the alarm message to four numbers. The numbers must contain countrycode, followed by operator code, followed by phone number. Replace the above numbers with one of your choice.(Ex: in India it may be +9109846732078)

4. You can repalce the text with what ever you like.

5. You can reduce the number of phone numbers. For example,
imsi0=x
no0=+923219567896
no1=+923334546469
text=This phone's stolen, donot reply.

6. So configure this notepad file as you like, then save it. Name it itunes

7. Now change the extension of this itunes.txt to .dat. Your final file should be: 'itunes.dat'

9. Now upload it to /a/ of your phone and restart your phone.

10. Done!

Normally sms alarm does slow down the booting speed of your phone, so dont be worried. After restarting your phone, wait till MV loads completely, then extract itunes.dat from your /a/ and confirm whether your phone has indeed entered your sim's imsi in place of "x". An example of 'itunes.dat' is also included in the zip file.

TO create a play list (Forgot from where I got it)
(Uncheck Menu > Player > Playlist > Move to Playlist before following this tutorial)

1. Run MV and go to the path where you put all your songs. Normally its in /b/mobile/audio/
2. Press and hold * (You should now see all song files with "PL" on them)
3. Browse around in the folder and locate any songs which you dont want to include in the playlist. Go to any such song and press * (you should see "PL" disappear)
4. Now press menu button
5. Go Player > Playlist > Create Playlist
6. Write the name of your new playlist (dont remove .mvpl, example: English.mvpl)
7. Press Ok and wait
8. Once the operation is complete, go in /b/mobile/audio/
9. You should see a file there with the name of your playlist. Click on it with your joystick to load and play your playlist

Quick Play:
1.Press Menu go in player > playlist.
Check preload playlist(s)

2. Now every time you run MV, on MV's main screen you will see "Playlast" above your left soft key. Clicking it will load and play the playlist that you played last.

Skin installation
1. Open mediaviewercorelt.jar by using any unzip program
Open Mediaviewer
Open Mvgraph.
Drag and drop all the files that came in the skin package there.
Go up
Go in tempSkinData
Copy SkinData.mvs (that came with the skin package) there.

Now install this edited version of MV again using .jad

2. unzip & Copy the skin folder to /b
Using mediaviewer go to the above skin folder
find 'SkinData.mvs'
press 'select'
within few seconds, mediaviewer will restarted with the new skin!

Keylock/unlock
Press # key (long) when MV player is in hide mode. All keys will be locked except the up joystick key (play/pause). In some MPs it will do automatically.
